As a Registered Nurse, and Energy practitioner, I have more than two decades of experience in clinical practice and the fields of Energy Work and Energy Medicine. When would I use these?
The Shift! Meditations are built around 10 specific emotions. You would look through each mediation and choose either how you are feeling, how you want to feel, or simply the support you need in the moment. Because of the short length of each meditations, you can use these at a natural break in your day, or choose to create a space and time for them. ie. sitting in your car, closing the door to your office for a few minutes, laying in bed before you start the day or at the end of your day
What's an energy center and how do you use them in these meditations?
We are physical and energetic beings. I created these meditations to help you connect with the flow of energy that exists in your body. This flow of energy helps you find balance and harmony as you move through your days. For each meditation you will place your hands on two energy centers, like your heart and your stomach center. The purpose of this hand placement is honor your physical existence, through your hands, as well as your energetic existence through the guided meditation.
Do I have to know about Energy, or even believe in it to benefit from these meditations?
No. These meditations are completely guided. You simply need to relax and be present. While I believe it is beneficial to get curious and learn about your energy systems and how they are a part of your holistic existence it is not necessary for these meditations. Each one is built around an emotion and helping you to transition how you are feeling. While they energy centers are a part of the process, you will benefit greatly simply by engaging in the guided meditation.
Do I have to have any experience with meditation?
No. These are guided meditations. They are simple and specific. You simply need to find a quiet place to listen, follow along and relax.
